The Wishflags project involves having areas of the Vancouver community producing their own "Wishflags" inspired by the Tibetan Prayer Flags.
Each flag will contain a note with a wish for the City and the individual about what they see possible for their Community.
The Wishflags will then be hung at various venues around the City over the coming months, where the wishes will be aired out into the Vancouver community. They are in essence wishes for Vancouver.
Our project is taking place in line with the 2010 Winter Olympics, as we see this as a time of great opportunity to celebrate the diversity
of Vancouver's community, enhance creativity and bring about
a sense of possibility for the future.
We are extremely excited to announce that the first venue the flags will be hanging is the Sunset Community Centre. They can be found here for the duration of the Olympics and will be situated in and around their Olympic Living Room.
